How we can help Haiti

It's hard to miss the turmoil Haiti continues to experience as it reaches headlines month after month. Political unrest, social injustice, and natural disasters have impacted people's jobs, lives, and communities more than we can imagine. Many have written Haiti off as hopeless, but for those of us who have experienced what beauty it has to offer, we can’t help but try our hardest when tragedy strikes.

Like any country, Haiti is both beautiful and broken. We would be fools to ignore its rich culture and people, but naive to think Haiti’s struggles are easy fixes or that we’re the ones best suited for the job. What we do know, however, is that by partnering with our Haitian brothers and sisters, we can support the people who are fighting on the frontlines to change their communities for the better.

Together with our Haitian partner, we are on a mission to empower Haiti’s youth to become its future change-makers and leaders. Specifically, we’re committed to providing financial, social, and emotional support to 56 kids at Glory Glory in Southern Haiti. We focus on providing a nurturing environment, education, health care, and job creation.

How can you help?

SHOP at our Open House on November 7, 2021. When you purchase the handmade jewelry, home goods, and holiday items we’ll have for sale, not only are you supporting the kids at Glory Glory, but you’re building the Haitian economy and creating jobs. This time of year is critical for the maker community, so let’s do business and make a difference!

DONATE toward our general fund with a one-time gift or sign-up to give monthly! We’re committed to providing each child with quality education through college or a trade school, in addition to caring for their general health and emergent needs.

PRAY for breakthrough in Haiti. Pray for strong leadership at a political and community level that will create real, systematic change. Pray for unity amongst the people and for safety. Pray for economic and spiritual growth. Pray for people to take action where it matters most (including us).
